PREPARING THE SITE
We set our standards high because we want our guests to feel immersed in nature while enjoying thoughtfully curated comforts that make every stay feel effortless. Outdoor hospitality is who we are and in preparation for your stay this season, our team is busy refreshing accommodations, ensuring every amenity meets your expectations of comfort and excellence.
Ensuring our guests are able to explore and relax in style, our tents accommodate all adventurers. Coming out of the winter months, our team devotes their resources to refresh and revitalize each tent site, staying up-to-date with latest style trends and hospitality comforts. One such update is the refresh of our tables and chairs at the Kitchen 207. These new furnishings are designed to provide comfort and connection while enjoying your meal, playing a board game, or simply sipping on a cocktail.
Terramor is committed to sustainability, a testament to being awarded a SITES Gold Property by the U.S. Green Business Council. Nature is at the heart of our property, and we’re dedicated to honoring it in every detail, from native plants and thriving trees to our commitment to organic, eco-friendly care. Spring in Maine is a special time, and our operations team is hard at work preparing the landscape for your arrival.

As the opening season approaches we cannot wait to welcome back our team. Soon we will be embracing familiar faces of returning staff members and sharing the spirit of KOA with new team members.. We are focused on orientation days and training our team for exceptional guest experiences, from customer service workshops to role-specific and emergency preparedness training.
We are a tight knit unit, with our core values embracing the love for the outdoors and making sure everyone can experience its beauty. On Earth Day, our team volunteers to clean up trash off the road to beautify the community with our partners at Friends of Acadia. To ensure our team provides the best possible experience for our guests, we offer staff-exclusive versions of all our activities, allowing them to fully understand and appreciate the guest exploration. We take time to know one another, celebrate everyone’s journey and unite in the Terramor spirit.
GUEST’S FAVORITE EXPERIENCES ARE BACK
Part of the excitement in preparing for opening day is making sure we have our signature guest experiences ready to go, from our private guided hikes in Acadia National Park, bee chats, and saltwater immersions to our onsite wellness experiences. We also collaborate and find ways to enhance the guest experience with adding new adventures or services, upgrades to existing ones or customized packaged options. Gearing up for the new season we love being able to tap into what we are rooted in, our community and local partnerships. Here are just a few that we collaborate and engage with our local community:
- Pints for a Purpose: Partnership with Friends of Acadia to get to know the history and future of Acadia National Park and Mount Desert Island.
- Speaking of pints, we make sure we have Maine’s best breweries on tap, raising our glass to local flavors.
- Live Music – connecting with local musicians to play once a week for our dinner service in the lodge.
- Opening our doors to the local community to enjoy Terramor’s food and beverage offerings, as well as the resort’s experiences.
EXPLORING BAR HARBOR AND ACADIA NATIONAL PARK
Located on Mount Desert Island, only minutes from both Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor ensures your stay can be as adventurous or relaxing as you like. Our team is enthusiastic about our surroundings and honor the history and beauty of the region, because of this we make sure our guests know all the offsite adventures that welcome them.
- The Terramor team has logged hundreds of miles in Acadia. Need a good recommendation of a trail off the beaten path? Just ask one of our friendly staff members – they will help you find a trail just right for any skill level.
- Explore Bar Harbor – check out some of our team member’s favorites like The Stadium to enjoy delicious coffee and a yummy popover as you stroll through Agamont Park, or grab a good book at Sherman’s Maine Coast Book Shop and walk along the coastline, so many options to entice you.
- Terramor wants to make exploring effortless for you, we are a designated stop on the Island Explorer, which is a free shuttle bus linking hospitality businesses to destinations in Acadia, Bar Harbor, Schoodic and more.
